About WiFi QR Code
WiFi QR Code encodes your network name, password and security type into a scannable code. Guests point a phone camera at it and join without typing a 20-character password.
The password is stored in plain text inside the code. Anyone who can photograph the QR can read it, so treat a printed code like a written password.
How to use WiFi QR Code
- 1
Enter the network name
The SSID exactly as broadcast — case and spaces matter.
- 2
Add password and security
Choose WPA/WPA2 for modern routers, WEP for legacy, or none for open networks.
- 3
Download and print
SVG stays sharp at any size; PNG is fine for a phone screen.
Questions about WiFi QR Code
Can someone see my WiFi password?
Yes. QR codes are not encrypted. Anyone who scans or photographs the code can read the password.
Should I use this for a guest network?
Ideally yes — put guests on an isolated SSID so the main password is never printed.
Why does my phone refuse to join?
Usually a wrong SSID character, or WPA3-only security. Try WPA/WPA2 mixed mode.
Does changing the password break the code?
Yes. Regenerate the QR whenever the password or SSID changes.
