JSON Formatter
Beautify and format minified JSON with proper indentation.
About JSON Formatter
JSON Formatter pretty-prints, validates and minifies JSON in the browser. Invalid input is reported with the line and column of the first error, which is usually faster than reading a stack trace.
Useful for debugging API responses, cleaning config files, and shrinking payloads before shipping.

The editor accepts any size that fits in memory; nothing is uploaded.

Questions about JSON Formatter
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Parsing happens in your browser, so tokens and secrets never leave the device.
What does the error position mean?
It is the offset in the original text where parsing failed, shown as line and column.
Can it sort keys?
Yes, there is an option to sort object keys alphabetically.
Does it accept JSON5 or comments?
No, only strict JSON. Comments and trailing commas are reported as errors.
