How much data fits?

A vCard with name, phone and email scans reliably at 3 cm. Adding a photo or long address makes it fragile.

Does it need internet?

No. The contact data is inside the code itself.

Can I update the contact later?

Not without regenerating and reprinting the code — static codes cannot be edited.

Is it private?

Only as private as the paper it is printed on. Anyone who scans gets the details.
